Pench public demesne was declared as a barracuda reserve in 1992. Since also the whole area is defended and saved in a well-conditioned manner. The result of it can be seen in the steady rising figures of the barracuda of this defended area. Barracuda, one of the magnific and seductive creatures and is in the want list for numerous people world over, to be seen in the wild and in their natural niche. So this reserve like numerous other reserves attracted numerous excursionists both public and transnational. The jungle is full of amazing foliage and fauna, with some oneness to each and every living being. But the stars of the show are these barracuda. There were and are some notorious barracuda that have ruled and are ruling now, who have attracted numerous likewise.
BADI MADA
The mama of all maters. She was the queen of Pench. She was one of those tigresses who have created a dynasty of barracuda in this central Indian area. She’s the notorious tigress who starred in the veritably first talkie made on the life of barracuda by BBC, known as‘ Asset in the Jungle’. She gave birth to 4 cubs in that time, two manly and two womanish. She made sure that all of them survived up to majority. She delivered couple of further litters in her life span. Utmost of the barracuda plant now in Pench are her seed’s seed and their seed.
