Both Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra are too warm; that is why traveling to Pench during the summer is not a good option. It is better to visit there in the winter when the climate is more charming. If you visit Pench in the winter, you will enjoy the safari very much. Moreover, winter is the season to witness a myriad of exotic birds.
But if you visit Pench national park in the summer, the chances of seeing a tiger over there will be a lot higher. Wild animals come out in the open to drink water during the summer. If you are interested in seeing majestic animals, the summer season would be for you. But remember, the weather will not be good.
Also, you should keep in mind that the park opens only from October to June. It is closed during the monsoon. Being a special part of Madhya Pradesh, the national park shares the same subtropical climate as the whole state. The summer season comes tagged with heat and a temperature ranging between 21℃ and 42℃ in the months of March to June. As soon as July comes in, the warm weather starts to take a step back and makes way for rainfall which is one reason that the national park is closed till September. This is followed by the winter season which is just the right time to visit Pench National Park.
